TX22 ART Kit

Original price was: $65.00.Current price is: $61.75.

The TX22 ART Kit — our active reset trigger paired with the 17-4 stainless striker guide rod that keeps it running. The ART accelerates your cadence; the guide rod eliminates the factory polymer failure point that a faster cadence drives straight into the ground.

Includes:

  • 1× TX22 ART part — stainless steel, PVD coated
  • 1× TX22 striker guide rod — 17-4 stainless steel

Why the kit: the factory polymer striker guide breaks at the head, and an ART's higher round count gets you there faster. Install both at once — get the speed without the mid-session malfunction.

Drop-in compatible with the full TX22 platform (all generations and variants).

Description

TX22 ART Kit — Active Reset Trigger + 17-4 Striker Guide Rod

VoidSpec Precision Components

The TX22 ART Kit pairs our active reset trigger part with our 17-4 stainless steel striker guide rod — the two parts that belong together on a TX22 built for speed. The ART delivers the faster cadence; the guide rod eliminates the factory failure point that an ART would otherwise drive straight into the ground.

What’s included

  • 1× TX22 ART part (stainless steel, PVD coated)
  • 1× TX22 striker guide rod (17-4 stainless steel)

Why these two parts ship together

The factory polymer striker guide is already the weak point in a stock TX22 — the small head takes the full impact load of the striker every cycle, and it wears, cracks, and eventually breaks. When it fails, the broken piece can migrate into the striker channel and cause light strikes, intermittent ignition failures, or a fully seized striker.

An ART accelerates that timeline by design. The whole point of the ART is to put more rounds through the pistol per session, which means more striker cycles, which means more impact loading on a part that was already going to break. Running an ART on the factory polymer guide is borrowed time. This kit removes that risk up front: install both parts in the same sitting and get all the speed the ART was built to deliver without stopping mid-session to dig a broken polymer head out of a slide.

The ART

In a standard semi-automatic pistol, the trigger resets when the shooter releases rearward pressure and allows the internal components to recapture the sear — reset speed limited by how fast the shooter can release and re-press. The TX22 ART changes the contact geometry so the slide’s rearward cycle pushes the trigger forward as it travels, actively resetting it mechanically. With pressure maintained on the trigger, the pistol fires the next round as soon as the slide returns to battery: one trigger pull, one round fired, with the reset accelerated to match the slide cycle rather than the shooter’s reaction time.

Machined from stainless steel and PVD coated for surface hardness and corrosion resistance. The PVD layer rides on the contact faces against the sear and trigger bar, reducing wear on those wear-critical edges and keeping the action consistent over thousands of cycles.

The striker guide rod

Machined from 17-4 stainless steel — the same grade used for striker components in production handguns built for wear life. The replacement has no head to break: it’s a single piece of stainless that does the factory guide’s job without the wear-and-fail mechanism that makes the polymer part a known weak point. 17-4 holds tight tolerances, takes the impact loading without deforming, and won’t corrode under normal solvents or environmental exposure. Runs reliably with standard ammunition — steel case, brass case, subsonic, hyper-velocity.

Every unit is dimensionally inspected before it leaves the shop. If it goes out the door with our name on it, it’s been measured.

Compatibility

Drop-in compatible with the full TX22 platform:

  • TX22 (full size)
  • TX22 Compact
  • TX22 Competition
  • TX22 Competition T.O.R.O.
  • 2TX22 and 2TX22C (second-generation models)

All generations, all variants. No platform-specific version needed.

Installation

True drop-in, both parts. No frame modification, no permanent alteration, and both factory parts can be reinstalled at any time to return the pistol to stock. The ART goes in through the fire control group; the guide rod goes in through the striker assembly — different ends of the pistol, different teardowns, but do both in one sitting so the pistol only gets stripped once. If you’ve detail-stripped a TX22 before, this is the same work.

If you haven’t, watch a complete detail-strip video for both the fire control group and the striker assembly before you start. The striker is under spring tension and the small parts will go places you don’t want them to if you let go at the wrong moment. When in doubt, hand it to a gunsmith.

Training and operation

An ART changes the rhythm of the pistol meaningfully. With the kit installed, the pistol will continue firing for as long as you maintain rearward trigger pressure and there are rounds in the magazine. Dry-fire the system extensively before live use, and run your first live session at a measured pace until the new reset behavior is muscle memory.

Plan to burn ammo. The whole point of this kit is to let you shoot faster than you would otherwise — which means you’ll be running magazines through the gun faster than you’re used to. .22 LR is cheap, but it’s not free.

Legal responsibility

It is the buyer’s responsibility to verify that this kit is legal to own, install, and use in their jurisdiction. Active reset and similar rapid-cycling trigger systems have been the subject of ongoing federal and state legal action; the regulatory status has shifted multiple times in recent years and continues to evolve. Several states restrict or prohibit these systems outright.

VoidSpec does not provide legal advice. If there is any doubt about whether this kit is appropriate for your jurisdiction or your specific situation, consult a firearms attorney in your state before purchasing.
