Description
Purpose-built for the Super Safety. A standard mil-spec safety detent isn’t cut for the Super Safety’s geometry — install one and you get inconsistent indexing, premature wear, or a selector that doesn’t seat the way it should. This detent is dimensioned specifically for that application, so the selector indexes cleanly and holds where it’s set.
Machined from 17-4 PH stainless steel and heat treated to HRC 28–35, it balances toughness with wear resistance — hard enough to hold up to repeated selector cycling, tough enough to resist chipping or cracking under load. The 17-4 alloy also resists corrosion far better than blued mil-spec parts, so it shrugs off sweat, solvents, and humidity without pitting or rust — the kind of part you install once and forget about.
Drop-in fitment for the Super Safety. No fitting, no filing, no guesswork. If you’re running a Super Safety, this is the detent it should have shipped with.
